Moved to uni on the 20th of Sept. Just got the internet now lol.
Lectures started all of this week, next week the tutorials start up. I joined the LGBT, Anime, Philosophy, and the Atheist societies. Made friends. (That's always a good thing) My flat mates are pretty cool.
I'm taking:
Moral Philosophy
Formal Logic
Introduction to Anthropology I
Basics of World Religions

Then during the second half session I'll be doing:
Genders and Religion
Knowledge and Mind
Introduction to Anthropology II

My timetable is evil. I know people who have entire days/mornings off, while I have 3 days where i have to be in a lecture/tutorial by 9 am (and the other two days that only moves up 1 hour to 10 am...).

Worrying slightly about paying the accommodation fees. I'm so disorganized! The money is in the bank, but I'm not sure how to get it to them. lmao
My card is not a credit/debit card, just a cash card. My cheque book is at home. My daily extraction limit is £500. Oh well, I have 7 days to sort it out before I'm in trouble lol.

Anyway, got to go. We're all going to watch Sweeney Todd.

Got to stop neglecting this bloody thing.

I'm all packed. Tommorow I head off. Two nights in Edinburgh before I end up in Aberdeen. (How is everything going to fit into the car???)

You know the Terrible Crossover Fanfiction Idea Generator?

It is awesome. I'm not actually writing the fanfiction, just seeing what comes up. That in itself is amusing enough.

Just now I got a crossover between America's Funniest Home Videos and Stephen King's IT, including the plot device: possession by Satan.

Oh, I just did it again and got DuckTales/Family Guy + an orgy. 0_0

There was a good one before with tentacle rape, but I can't remember exactly which shows it used. *sigh*

Anyway, I decided to post... for some strange reason. So, my birthday was recently. I spent most of it reading. I'm 19 now. Whoot!
(It doesn't feel all that different, apart from the fact that, when I think about it, I'll be 20 next. Uh oh)

Tommorow I'm going shopping for stuff to take to uni. My shopping list amuses me. I have random things like hot water bottle, underwear, bean bag, cushions, washing up sponge etc. dotted throughout it (in between sensible things like plates and cups etc.)

I also made a list of things to buy immediately when I get to Aberdeen. Tea was at the top of the list, along with pasta.

I can't believe I'll be leaving home in 25 days. 0_o

I got my A-Level results today. I got BCC. I needed CCC to get into my Firm choice for Uni. So all good there. Also, looking more closely at the results, I came close to getting ABC.

I was out in Durham with daughter_moon and Emma. daughter_moon gave me an early birthday present (The Incredible Adam Spark by Alan Bissett). I also treated myself to a new graphics novel (Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere)

Then, when I got home there was a letter from UCAS and Aberdeen Uni telling me congrats for getting in. ^^
Also, there was a reply to my accomodation request. I got my first choice!
I'm in the brand new flats, which are self-catering and en-suite! Helz yes.


Now I'm off to eat one of my favourite meals (Tortellini with Carbonara sauce), drink my beverage of choice (Cranberry juice), and then eat lots of my favourite ice cream. I'm going to watch my new DVDs, play sims, and laze about.

This is a good day.

So, now that all the Unis have replyed, I have made my decision. =D

Insurance: Stirling (I only need CC!)
I will be studying Philosophy and Religious Studies, and I will also probably be taking a third course in Anthropology, because the scottish masters degree is awesome that way.

And look at those Cs! No stress for me this year, no siree. XD

RL News

I have lost my wallet. It contained by bank card and my drivers licence and loyalty card shit.
Phoned the bank and they froze my card and are sending me a new one. Also phoned DVLA and I'll be getting a new licence thingamabob. And through all this, what was I thinking?

Ah well, as soon as Kathmandu reopens then I will buy a new one. *nods*

Other than, you know, whining and stuff. (about trains and college mostly)

Erm...thing is, not much is going on really. I spend most of my free time reading fanfiction/playing sims/watching tv. In that order. Although...it's generally pretty much only the first one unless the internet dies. XD
I haven't heard back from Edinburgh Uni yet. But apparently they're taking ages for everyone because their system died or something. Lol.
Although, they have 2 post-application visit days. One which has already gone, and the other one is in roughly 10 days i think. I bet they only tell me the day before the open day. >_>

I'm so fucking sick of this school. I can't wait to leave. It's full of arseholes.
I think I might end up going to Aberdeen. When I went there for the open day I already made friends. (current students). Hell one of them offered me a job at one of the bars. lol!

I'm going to go now and read some fanfiction, then maybe try and get the motivation to do some work or catch up on my flist.

Ugh. 5 hour train journey to Aberdeen tommorow. Why does it have to be so far away?

I get the train at 12:23, then change in Edinburgh. I'm staying at the premier inn, and going to the free buffet 7pm at the university. :P
On wednesday, I get back home around 8pm methinks.

Aberdeen has given me a conditional offer of CCC. If I get B or higheer in Philosophy and Ethics (I'm predicted an A) then I can go straight to level 2 of the course if I wish as well.

Now, I just need to hear back from Edinburgh, which is the uni I really really want to go to, so of course they'd be the last one to make a decision. grr. lol

I just got another uni offer! lol!
Stirling has offered me a place conditional upon getting CC (yes, only two) grades at A2. Apparently they count the entry requirements by points, not actual grades, and I had enough from AS that I don't really need that many this year. ^^
